MindMatters for Students

Buddies' Beachwalk 2018

Buddies Not Bullies Beach Walk

Buddies' Beachwalk Crosses Long Reef Headland

Great weather greeted the 50 student Mentors and mentors from Mr Russo’s MindMatters Team as they followed up last Friday’s Founder's Day Festival with our Annual Buddies' Beachwalk last Friday.  Conversation, interaction and connections flowed on the trek from Long Reef Golf Club over the headland and along Dee Why beach.

The surf flags swim and afternoon tea arranged by Mr Russo, Mr Stearn and Mrs Currington were welcome bonuses.  Thanks to Mrs Williams, Mrs Doheny and Mr Baldock who led the walk and to Mrs Rawle who accompanied with her twin baby daughters.

There can be no doubt the Peer Mentoring program is going from strength to strength under the inspirational guidance of Mr Russo and a strong contingent of Year 11 and 10 students who are taking up the Mentoring leadership mantle.

If you would like to get involved in this great program or even just attend to support our next outing, contact Mr Russo, Mrs Williams or Mr Brannan for details.
