SSV State Primary Schools Athletics Championships

On Thursday 24 October the SSV State Primary Schools Athletics Championships were held at Lakeside Stadium, Alber Park.

St Fidelis Primary School was represented at the Championships by Josephine (5/6CJ) competing in the 12/13 Year old girls discus event.

The school community would like to congratulate Josephine on achieving representation at this ultimate level of competition by achieving success along the following pathway:

St Fidelis Champion

Inner North/Moreland Division Champion

Northern Metropolitan Region Runner-up

Considering that Josephine doesn't compete in athletics outside of school, this is an incredible achievement . Well done!!!

Also, special thanks to Josephine's family for supporting her along the way.

SSV Coburg District Blast Cricket Competition

On Friday 25 October St Fidelis Primary School took part in a Cricket Victoria/Coburg District 'Cricket Blast' Carnival held at Cole Reserve, Pascoe Vale.

St Fidelis Primary School fielded two girls’ and two boys’ teams to participate in games of 'Cricket Blast' against teams from several other SSV Coburg District schools.

‘Cricket Blast’ is a fun and exciting game that allows for equal participation where everyone gets equal opportunity at batting and bowling.

Congratulations to all our students who participated at this event. Their behaviour and effort were fantastic.

Also, a special mention to our Year 6 girls team who competed in the main final at the end of the day. A great effort girls!
