Principal's Report

Dear Parents and Carers

We are living through a time of great uncertainty as COVID-19 continues to spread throughout our world. Many people are losing their livelihoods, large numbers of our community are in lockdown and with social distancing measures, this Easter will be one like no other we have experienced.

Holidays are normally a time for catching up with family and friends, camping and trips away. These Easter holidays will need to take another form but it does not mean we cannot take time to reflect on our blessings even in times of uncertainty.

Over the past two weeks, we have changed from learning at school to remote learning at home. This has taken a great deal of resilience, courage, patience and determination. The whole community, students, teachers, parents and carers have played their part in making this transition, although not perfect, one where learning and wellbeing continue to be at the core of what we do.

I would like to thank each of you for the hard work you have done throughout this time. It makes me forever grateful to be part of such a wonderful community where we are all learning together. At this stage we do not know what Term 2 will look like. We have been busy as a staff preparing for a continuation of remote learning for the start of Term 2. I will continue to keep you informed during the holidays.

Easter is time for reflection and renewal. Now more than ever it is a time when we should look at putting our priorities in order and living by principles that matter. Easter is also a time of hope and faith. May your Easter be full of hope, faith and joy.

I would like to wish you a happy, holy and safe Easter.

What new learning will you undertake this week?
