Footy Fever Hits SSPS
What a great way to finish last term with the annual SSPS Birthday breakfast. The teachers put on a scrumptious breakfast of cereal, French toast and sausages for a hungry lot of kids and parents. After a hasty pack up and strip out of the PJ’s and into our footy colours, it was then straight into the Grand Footy Parade hosted by our Sports Captain’s. Then it was a hot dog lunch followed by the Staff v Students footy match. Such community minded events are what makes Syndal South such a great school.

Mascot Challenge
SSPS has registered in the Mascot Challenge program. An initiative of the Australian Cricket Network, the challenge is a brain break program designed to be delivered in the classroom daily across a four week period. Suited perfectly for P-2 aged students to assist their development across fine motor skills, and begin their engagement in cricket. The program has students spending 10 mins a day developing fundamental motor skills that will lay the foundation for them to lead a healthy and active life.
Kanonball Fun
Our Year 3/4 students practised their glove fielding skills during PE this week, with the Kanonball machine.
Ride2Work (School) Day
Next Wednesday is National Ride 2 Work Day, so if you ride your bike to school, you can join in some lunchtime riding activities just for fun. It ties in nicely with Walktober, where we are encouraging you all to walk to school if you can. It's all about being active & keeping healthy, by starting the day with a fresh mind.
