Principal's Report

Welcome back everyone!  I hope you enjoyed the break from school routine and were able to recharge the batteries, ready to launch into Term 4. We have another busy term ahead with an array of learning opportunities and experiences planned that includes our Fete, Solar Challenge, Physical Education Week, Years 3 /4 Camp, Prep -2 swimming, Year 6 Graduation celebrations, just to mention a few. All of this happens concurrently with the regular business of teaching and learning and professional development of staff. We are looking forward to the weeks ahead with great enthusiasm.

News Flash!

Thanks to the unbelievable organisational skills of Lewis’s mum Sharon from Foundation S, I can now announce that we have Mike Larkan from Channel 10 visiting our school to do his iconic weather report live on television on Thursday 24th October. This is a fabulous and unique opportunity made available to us by Sharon, which we are all extremely grateful for. Mike will be able to launch our Fete to the wider community which is an amazing prospect. More details will be available closer to the date.

Fete News!

With only 16 days to the Fete, we are now working hard to finalise certain aspects so that on the day everything is running smoothly and the whole day is a huge success both financially and enjoyment wise.

The discussion around the rebuilding of the ‘Haunted House’ has definitely been intense. From all accounts the previous ‘Haunted House’ in 2015 was an extremely unbelievable experience to visit from the planning so far, the experience is going to hit even higher levels this year.

But the Level 3 Team do need some assistance, so next Friday 18th October there will be a special casual dress day. Students are encouraged to wear casual clothes and in return bring along something that can be used in the decorating of the ‘Haunted House’.

Don't forget you can still bring in your books in good condition for us to sell at the Fete.

Fete Working Bee

To ensure that the school is looking it’s best on Fete Day we are having a ‘Working Bee’ on Saturday 19th October from 9.00am to 11.00am. This will give us the opportunity to give the grounds a good tidy up in preparation for all the visitors the following week. At the conclusion of the morning there will be the usual Sausage Sizzle provided.  Look out for the 'Working Bee' Event on Compass to register your attendance.

Fete Ride Wristbands

Unlimited ride wristbands are now available to pre-purchase by clicking on the TryBooking link http://www.trybooking.com/BFZRZ  or by completing the attached form and returning it with the correct money to the office by Wednesday 23rd October.  These forms are also available from the office.

Fete Raffle Tickets

Thanking you for your support for the selling of the Raffle Tickets.  If you could please return your sold books with the money to the office as soon as possible.

To conclude, we are still in need of volunteers to sign up to help on the Fete Stalls.  When you are signing up you will be assisting the Stall Leader with selling/cleaning, etc.

Thank you
