Whole school sustainable garden

Garden Club

Over the past 2 terms students on the EY Campus have been very busy every Wednesday getting our Whole School Sustainable Garden established.

We have planted a variety of herbs and vegies, which should be ready for harvesting in mid-October.

Now that spring is here we will be extending the garden and planting some summer vegies, including tomatoes, capsicums, cucumbers and eggplants. We will also plant some strawberries and chillies.

The garden has also been used in our teaching programs, with the Year 2 students using our Worm Farm for some exciting and informative worm investigations.

The garden will continue to grow (in all senses) over the next 6 months and early next year we will have some exciting projects that all students can get involved.
