Year 3 & 4 Amazing Authors

Year 4 Creative Writing: 'A Scuba Driving Adventure' by Cailin D

As I put on my scuba diving gear I splashed into the water.  I couldn’t believe my eyes at what I saw swimming frantically towards me.  It was a herd of great white sharks!  I ducked behind some coral and hid so I would not get eaten.

My buddy Max was worried as I was now out of sight.  About 5 seconds later I saw someone in the distance.  It was Max! He was coming to save me.  But all of a sudden one of the sharks bit Max’s leg.

Max was in a lot of pain and as the shark released his jaw he quickly swam towards the boat.  The driver pulled Max into the boat and then I quickly climbed in after him.  The driver sped towards the shore.  I grabbed by phone out of my bag and called an ambulance.  Two minutes later the ambulance arrived.  “He is going to be okay!” said the doctor.  “He just needs a bandage and lots of rest!”.

After all the chaos was over I took Max home to bed.  Then I went home myself exhausted and went to bed feeling relieved that Max was going to be fine.

Year 4 Creative Writing: 'My pet Dragon' by Josh Q

I have a pet dragon and his name is Firey.  He is really naughty.  “Josh!” Dad shouted.  “What?” I replied.  “I need help with fixing the car,” Dad said.  “Firey broke it when Bailey was over.”  If you are wondering who Bailey is he is my friend.  Like my best friend.  My best, best, best friend.  We visit each other by the bridge we have between our treehouses.  Oh yes, and we have sleepovers too!

When walking across the bridge, we try not to disturb Firey.  “Stop narrating and help me!” Dad screamed.  “Sorry!” I replied.  CRASH! Oh no. “Keep that dragon under control!” Mum demanded.  That’s my mum. She is mean!  “Stop narrating!” Bailey yelled from the treehouse.  “Sorry!” I replied.  I can’t help myself.  Now about the dragon...

He is orange and I have had him since 2010 and it is now 2017 so I have had him for seven years.  He breathes fire and he has blue spikes on his back.  “I am moving out!” Mum yelled.  “And stop narrating!”

Then, all of a sudden Firey vomited on the shed and we gave him some medicine for dragons. That pet dragon – what am I going to do with him now!?
