With term three in full swing, Visual and Performing Arts have a number of great events coming up!
Talent Quest:
Talent Quest auditions are well underway. We have had an amazing response this year with everything from solo singers to dance crews, crooners to rock bands and more. Auditions wrap up on July 28th with entrants announced on the 31st July. Congratulations to everyone who has auditioned – it has been amazing to watch and it is great to see such fantastic talent.
We look forward to seeing it all come together on September 1st!
Music:
Join us on Thursday August 17th from 6pm for the Year 2 Music Band Showcase. For the first time, we will be going off-site to Wrangler Studios Footscray as all the Year 12 bands join forces for 1 Night Only of epic music making. With music from Silverchair, INXS, Michael Jackson and more this is a night not to be missed. More information on tickets and venue to come – stay tuned!
The Year 12 Solo Music students are strutting their stuff on Thursday August 24th at 6pm in the Crate Theatre. Featuring the musical stylings of Brittney FitzGerald, Chelsey Borg, Karina Levchenkova, Carine Taylor, Mary Ngoma and Joseph Corio this will be a highly entertaining evening. Gold Coin donation for entry.
We will round out the term with the Year 1 Music Concert in the Crate Theatre on Wednesday September 20th. After the success of the term 2 showcase, this promises to be a great evening. Stay tuned for more details closer to the event.

Dance
The Catholic Regional College Sydenham Community are invited attend the first solo performance evening where the Year 2 VET/ VCE Dance students will be performing one of their examination solos. The performers have been working extremely hard on their performances all year. The Solo Performance Night will take place Thursday August the 10th from 6pm in the College Crate, hope to you all there!
Theatre Studies
The theatre Studies Year 11 students are currently excitedly working on the musical theatre section of their course! This will culminate in a performance at SydFest!
Meanwhile, the Year 12 Theatre Studies students are looking forward to their excursion to see Noises Off at the Melbourne Theatre Company Monday 24th July.
