Secondary Art Work During ISO

- Lakes Rainbow Trail

Lakes Rainbow Trail

During well being week students had the opportunity to create a ‘rainbow’ artwork that will spread joy! This activity was inspired by the Facebook group called Rainbow Trail Australia, where people post colourful chalk drawings across the nation to "spread some joy during these testing times".

Lakes students were encouraged to think ‘outside-the-box’ and approach the task in a different way to the usual chalk drawing submissions. Such as; creating an interactive chalk drawing, make a window display, dying rice and arranging it to make patterns or pictures, folding origami, writing a positive message, baking a rainbow cake, taking a photo of light refracting and creating a rainbow, or arranging objects in the colours and shape of a rainbow.

It was wonderful to see students from various year levels make and share their creations, which were both colourful and uplifting! What a lovely incentive for spreading positivity during wellbeing week!
