PFA Activities Update

The PFA started the month with our second meeting for the year on March 1. We were very excited to welcome six new parents of Year 9 students, thanks to the school’s successful New Parent `Meet and Greet’ event held at the end of February. It was indeed a valuable experience for students and families who are new to Nossal High School. This event has encouraged more parents to be involved in our school community.

It was interesting to see new parents with culturally diverse backgrounds share their views and opinions with enthusiasm towards the common goal of joining the PFA to support our school; which enables us to contribute to the community, support the growth of their children at Nossal and assist the school in its continued growth and improvement. In joining the PFA, parents aim to set a good example for their children by their contribution and engagement in the school community.

We were overwhelmed by the support given by all of our PFA members during the Second Hand Uniform Shop sale held on March 6. It was great to see the community spirit of PFA members working together.

Our next major event will be the NHS Bunnings Sausage Sizzle which will be held on May 20 at Bunnings Fountain Gate. It would be terrific to see Nossal families and friends turn out and meet up for a chat, showing their support for the fundraising event while enjoying the sizzling sausages prepared by PFA members and our staff, student, parent and community volunteer helpers. What a great opportunity it is for parents to get connected with the Nossal community!

Our next meeting will be the PFA Annual General Meeting, it will be held on Wednesday, May 3 at 7pm in the Jean Russell Centre.

It is our dearest wish to be able to welcome more parents in future events. We hope to see you there.
