Leadership @ MPS

As another week passes us by, we think of those families in our community that have been heavily impacted by this lockdown. We send love and support to you all, especially to those who have been forced into hard lockdown for 14 days.

Today -

We hope  you will find joy in some small way.

We hope that you find something to make you smile.

We hope that you can laugh out loud.

We hope that you can make someone else, laugh.

And today, please be kind to yourself.

We hope that you can join us for a bit of fun at our Monty Olympics Opening Ceremony today at 1pm via Webex. A link will be sent out shortly via Seesaw.

I mentioned in my Compass feed on Tuesday the below podcast and it has been great to hear that many of you have listened to it. If you haven't yet, please do - you will not be disappointed!

Student Wellbeing and School Operations - Fiona George

My name is Fiona George and I am the new Student Wellbeing Leader for Monty Primary. I have worked in the local area for a very long time and decided to have a big change and come and do what I love best at this amazing school.

I have thoroughly enjoyed all my years of teaching as I am passionate about making meaningful connections with families and students. I hope to make a difference in the lives of the students in my care, whether it is big or small. I always aim to make students feel happy and comfortable about coming to school, by helping them to build on their resilience and reminding them of how special they are.

I am married to Paul and we have two teenage boys, Mack and Asher who keep us very entertained and quite busy. I also share my home with two very spoiled dogs, Daisy and Georgie, who as you can see from my photo, are in need of some good training.

My favourite things are reading, cooking, doing arty and crafty things and spending time with my family. I love chocolate, coffee and shopping for shoes with my sister!

I have already met so many wonderful families and students and I look forward to getting to know so many more. Thank you for the warm welcome I have received and I look forward to spending many more years in this wonderful area of Montmorency at Monty Primary.

School Nurse - Taylah Bourke

Hi everyone! My name is Taylah. I have recently joined the Monty team at the start of Term 3 as the School Nurse. I have been working as a Registered Nurse for 4.5 years. In my previous role, I worked in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit at The Royal Children’s Hospital. I am passionate about paediatric nursing and health promotion so I am very excited in this new role to be looking after all the students at Montmorency Primary School. Outside of work, you will find me spending quality time with my two greyhounds and or cooking up a storm in the kitchen! I look forward to getting to know you all and becoming a part of the Monty community.
