Interschool Sport

Term 3 is starting off with the Boys / Mixed Netball Team playing a District final this Friday against Donvale Christian College.  Parents of the team members are welcome to come and watch, this will be in the Stadium from 10.00am onwards.  Good luck to the boys in this final.

House Athletics

The House Athletics Days are coming up in the next 2 weeks.  The Middle school House Athletics is on Wednesday July 28th at the Ringwood Athletics Track.  The Senior House Athletics is on Friday July 30th at the same venue.  The students will be travelling on a bus to the venue.  Could I please ask parents to check if they have paid and also given consent, as there are still quite a few students without permission.  As per usual activities run by our school, we certainly need the assistance of our wonderful parent community.  If your child is on either of those days and you are available, we would really appreciate your help in assisting our staff in running the events and recording results.  Apart from the House points being allocated throughout the day, the finals of all the races will determine which students who will be attending and competing at the District Athletics on September 1st.  Please contact myself, or the Office, or your child’s teacher if you can help us out.

Division Cross Country

The Division Cross Country Competition is being run on Monday July 19th at the Yarra Glen Racecourse. Good luck to the students who are running on this day.

SCHOLASTIC BOOKCLUB

Today everyone should receive a Scholastic Book Club brochure. We only send out Scholastic brochures twice a year – once in Term 3 and again early in Term 4.  If you don’t receive yours there will be limited spares available from the Library or you can just go online to https://www.scholastic.com.au/book-club/book-club-parents/ to view Brochure 5 and place your order.  The orders are due back by Wednesday 21st July.  If you choose the LOOP option (explained on the order form) you order your child’s individual items and pay for them.  No paperwork needs to be sent to the school.  Your order will be received with the school’s orders and will be delivered to your child’s classroom along with the orders of the other students.  This is the only way to pay by credit card.  If you try to put through a late order (which will be a couple of days after they are due back at school) you will be given the option to pay postage and have it sent directly to your home address.

Cash orders are sent to the school. No orders are to go to the library or class teachers – they are to go directly to the office.  Please ensure that these orders have Name and Class on both the order form and the envelope.  If you want orders as gifts just put your name and a phone number on the order form and mark it clearly as a gift.  There is also a ‘Gift’ option if you pay by credit card, (however this is outside my control if it comes back from Scholastic with your child’s name on it).  We will contact you when they arrive at school and hold them at the office for you to collect.  We do earn valuable points for every purchase made which are used for new library books.  Your support is greatly appreciated.
