Year 12 University Tours
On Thursday 15 June, Year 12 VCE students will be visiting various universities to explore course options and receive help to plan what they will be doing next year.
Students will be visiting two of the following:
- The Australian Catholic University
- The University of Melbourne
- Monash University (Parkville Campus)
- RMIT
- Swinburne University of Technology, and
- Victoria University
CareMonkey forms have gone out - please make sure that you have checked the details. The students are required to meet supervising staff at their designated university and will be required to use public transport with supervising staff to make their way to their second university. They will be dismissed from the last university at various times - so please check the Care Monkey form carefully.
All students will have the opportunity to purchase lunch from various places, including the university and enjoy the campus surroundings.
This will be a fantastic day for our students to explore a potential tertiary institution. Please encourage them to ask as many questions as they like so that they have a great understanding of what the university has to offer.
Year 10 Work Experience
A reminder that work experience will take place on Monday 26 June to Friday 30 June. The majority of students have secured their own placement and are ready to go. I have mailed out information to all parents and carers whose daughters has completed their form by the deadline.
Students who have not secured a placement will have letters sent home (in Week 8) explaining that they have not handed in their paperwork and as such would be required to come to school for the first four days of work experience week (Friday 30 June is a student free day).
If your child has found a last minute work placement, it is of the upmost importance that you contact me, either by email (jmcmillan@msj.vic.edu.au) or phone 8398 2000.
If your child will be completing work experience at another time, please contact me and share those details with me.
