From the Principal

As you read through the newsletter you will be impressed with all the amazing activities that have occurred at the College so far this term. I would like to acknowledge the hard work of both students and staff in participating and organising the many activities and events that have taken place. I would like to give thanks to all in our community, our students, staff and parents.
For most of us we have a lot to be thankful for, sometimes we do take what we have for granted, we sometime forget how fortunate we are. It is important that we are thankful for so many things in our lives, even when we don’t think there is much to be thankful for. So let us all be thankful.
Be thankful that you don't already have everything you desire ... if you did, what would there be to look forward to?
Be thankful when you don't know something ... for it gives you the opportunity to learn.
Be thankful for the difficult times ... during those times you grow.
Be thankful for your limitations ... they give you opportunities for improvement.
Be thankful for each new challenge... which will build your strength and character.
Be thankful for your mistakes ... they will teach you valuable lessons.
Be thankful when you're tired and weary ... because it means you've given your all.
It's easy to be thankful for the 'good' things ... yet, a life of rich fulfillment comes to those who are thankful for the setbacks.
Gratitude can turn a negative into a positive ... find a way to be thankful for your troubles and they can become your blessings.
The following links to a number of articles provide you with some important information from the CECV in regard to the federal governments school funding proposal. There is a lot of discussion and debate around this topic and certainly from a Catholic Sector perspective there is valid concern regarding the impact that this proposal may have on the funding of Catholic schools.
