Visual Arts Teachers

The Year Two students have spent several weeks looking at the element of tone to create space and distance in their land and seascapes. They have developed some very cool skills using a fan brush to create different types of trees, such as palm, pine and gum trees. Some students even used the principle of scale to show objects getting smaller into the distance and at an appropriate size.  Well done to the Year Two students, your skills and understandings are really improving.

Year Six students reflect on their seven years of Visual Arts.

For me, Art has been very inspiring for me since I was very little. I find it interesting how we can create our work and share it with one another and make our work by using things in real life or fiction. I love learning new methods and techniques based on what we're doing.

Visual Arts has been a challenging subject for me as I am not the best but I feel each year I am improving and improving, and these few lessons I’ve been enjoying Visual Arts. Also some of the tasks I’ve gotten, some I didn’t even know. I learnt so much and now I’m enjoying Art.

Art gives me a way to express myself and that is why I love it. I also love when we get to be unique and pick what colours and shapes we use because I can be different and have fun with it instead of just doing what everyone else is.

Art really help me with my drawing. And it helps me learn new words.

Art  is a really good and fun learning community.

Over the past 7 years at Art I’ve learnt how to make my Art 3D. Art isn’t just Art, it tells a story. Mrs. Eeckman has taught us so much!

In Art I have enjoyed pottery because I can create 3D objects with ease.
