Bottle Caps
A HUGE thank you to everyone for continuing to collect bottle caps at home and in your workplaces. The donations have been rolling in by the bucket load. We are collecting them for the charity 'Envision Hands', who turn them into prosthetic limbs. Envision recently sent out an update which stated that they have collected roughly 5 million bottle caps and they are ready to begin the next stage of the project; making the limbs. They are seeking funds to be able to process all of the bottle tops. If you would like to read more or make a donation please follow this link.
Please don't stop collecting bottle caps! We will continue to collect them until Envision have enough funds to be able to process more. In the mean time, we will be creating a NEW bottle cap mural! Unfortunately the one we made earlier in the year did not work quite as planned. The glue used didn't hold the caps firmly and they were all falling off. Second time lucky though! By applying our past knowledge and remaining open to continuous learning, we now know what needs to be done to ensure that the caps hold and don't pollute our environment.
Therefore we are announcing a new, exciting competition!

Green Team
One of our Environment Leaders, Luke, shared his experience from the Kids Teaching Kids Conference. During Green Team on Monday, Luke taught everyone about wind energy and then guided students through the process of creating their own windmills. Check out some of the fun had during the session!
For any students who are interested, Green Team runs every Monday lunchtime in Miss Baxter's classroom and everyone is welcome!
