Vocation Education and Training

Year 11 Construction have begun their course by producing a timber mallet and saw stool. These projects introduced students to a number of new construction tools and equipment. Students have been engaged in practical activities producing projects to a high standard. 

 

Year 12 Construction have continued with the concreting unit of work. Students will produce a new concrete slab for a chicken run at the College Ag Plot. The class have also had an opportunity to contribute to the College by lining the music room walls ready for installation of guitar hooks. Early next term students will complete their final work placement where students have the ability to showcase skills their skills to potential employees.

Year 11 Metals and Engineering have completed their first project where engineering measurement and hand tool usage were the focus areas. Students are now finishing off the Oxy Acetylene unit welding before starting the fabrication components of the course.

 

Year 12 Engineering class are linking their skills and knowledge into a problem based project of their choice, with some great outcomes being produced.

Year 12 Information and Digital Technologies specialisation students have completed their units of maintaining and servicing computer hardware and devices and are now focusing their attention towards learning about system administration.
