Hi everyone, time for some 101 mental health drills.

 

Flat battery? Write a list. A list of all the things that charge your battery, and all the things that deplete it. The list doesn’t need to force an action. But it can produce a time for reflection.

 

I made up a list for myself, while thinking about “primary school” me. Give it a go: for yourself or someone you love. 

 

What charges my battery? Routine, friendships, my teacher, free play, structured games, achieving academically, my friends are healthy, my brother is here.

 

What depletes my battery? Capsicum sandwiches (yes dad, I’m looking at you), noisy trucks, changes of plans, thunderstorms, feeling uncertain, too many kinds of background noises, being cold at the school bus stop.
