School Cross Country

On Monday 9th of May, CESC held our annual School Cross Country Trials. 

Students competed a distance of 3000 metres and we saw a range of different age groups compete. 

It was great to see the students give it their all, with some students completing the race in under 13 minutes! All students who competed have successfully made it to the Division Stage of SSV Cross Country, which will be held on Thursday 26th of May at Casey Fields. 

Region Swimming 

CESC’s swimming trials were held in March and those who were interested in competing had to sign up for the day. Many students made it through to the Division and Region stage of SSV Swimming. 

A huge congratulations to the following students on their wins at Region:

Lee Yusman

These students received either bronze / silver medals in individual and relay events!

Interschool Sport – Term 1 RESULTS

CESC had a large amount of success in interschool sport throughout Term 1. 

The following teams came first at the Division Stage and will be progressing to Regional Finals:

• Year 8 Cricket
• Intermediate Cricket
• Year 7 Boys Volleyball 
• Year 8 Boys and Girls Tennis
• Year 7 Girls Tennis 
  
  Our Year 7 Boys Volleyball came RUNNERS UP at region. They competed and won against schools such as: Frankston High, Leibler Yavneh and Doveton. They versed Westall Secondary in the final and lost by only a few points. Great job boys!!

Interschool Sport – Term 2

Interschool sport is fast approaching for all year levels, with term 2 sports being: AFL, Soccer, Badminton and Netball. All tryout sessions will run in the first three weeks of school. 

• Senior Sport is on Monday 20th of June
• Intermediate Sport is on Monday 20th of June 
• Year 8 Sport is on Monday 30th of May
• Year 7 Sport is on Monday 6th of June
• We also have our alternate sports day (AFL Girls & NETBALL Boys) on Monday 23rd of June
