Brimbank Youth Services - Tuning into Teens

Brimbank Youth Services are seeking expressions of interest from families for two Tuning in to Teens programs running across July and August this year;

·         Wednesday 6.00pm – 8.00pm, July 13 – August 24

·         Thursday 10.00am – 12.00pm, July 14 – August 25

 

Both programs will be facilitated by qualified Tuning in to Teens training via Zoom for seven weeks. 

 

This is a free program for parents and carers of young people aged 10 to 18 years old.

The Tuning into Teens program covers - 

  • emotional intelligence and why it’s important
  • the five steps of emotion coaching
  • different parenting styles
  • anger and conflict management
  • problem solving
  • emotional self-care.

Positve Partnerships FREE workshops for parents and caregivers supporting young people on the Autism Spectrum

 

Throughout May, Positive Partnerships are offering 4 FREE, short online workshops for parents and caregivers supporting young people on the Autism Spectrum. 

The four workshops will cover the following topics -

  • diversity of autism
  • understanding sensory processing
  • understanding behaviour
  • working together with your child’s school.
