New - White Night Shepparton
WHITE NIGHT IS COMING TO SHEPPARTON
Saturday 25 June, 6pm - 12am midnight
For one night only, White Night will be transforming the streets, landmarks and public spaces. Shepparton will light up with art, culture and music for a spectacular White Night. This will be an incredible site spreading from Victoria Park Lake to the Shepparton Art Museum building, Aquamoves, Welsford Street, Vaughan Street and Monash Park.
PARK n RIDE There will be two FREE Park 'n' Ride services operating during White Night. Park at either the Mooroopna Recreation Reserve on McLennan Street or the Shepparton Marketplace on Benalla Road and catch a free bus to the Maude Street Bus Interchange. The buses will be scheduled to run every 15 minutes.
Additionally the Shepparton Bus Network will also be operating during the night of the event, with routes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8. You can access the bus timetable through the Public Transport Victoria website or smart app. https://www.ptv.vic.gov.au/routes
At the Vaughan Street event entrance you will find the night market by Culture Kitchen, and there will be event sites at SAM and Victoria Park Lake.
White Night is a family friendly event and with 28 large scale activations there is something for everyone to enjoy. Check out the full program online here.

Can you spot flowing eyes in the trees above? - Beat Bowl: The skate Park will be vibrantly brought to life and the beats, bass and boom will have you dancing. - Funky Fungi: Hear the beat and watch the projection of the magical Funky Fungi grow in front of your eyes and over the Aquamoves outdoor pool. - The Nuts: a lovable series of giant, charismatic, inflatable gumnuts. - The Bells: places the ensemble at the beginning of an impossible theatrical task that must be completed at whatever cost.

New - Ready Set Connect Networking Event
We warmly welcome teachers, support staff, parents and carers to attend our disability networking event Ready-Set-Connect being held in Shepparton on Tuesday 12 July from 10:00am – 12:30pm.
Ready-Set-Connect is an informative (and fun!) event based on a speed dating format. It connects teachers, support coordinators, parents and carers of people living with disability with NDIS disability service providers.
National and local service providers will be sharing information about their services and products. The event will help you keep in touch and up to date with services in your local community. In the space of a little over two hours, you will build your connections and get to meet and know a variety of providers servicing your region.

New - ASHEfest 2022
New - GV Schools - Transition Tatura's Environmental Arts Competition 2022
In 2019 and 2020, Transition Tatura held two very successful short-film competitions for students of all Goulburn Valley Schools. The challenge for both years was for entrants to make a short film about the environment.
In 2021, Transition Tatura expanded the Annual Environmental Short-film Competition and organised an Environmental Art Competition and we will run the same format in 2022. Once again, this competition is open to all current students within the Goulburn Valley.
Your task, either by yourself, with your family or with friends, is to use your favourite form of artistic expression (from our list below) to address the competition topic;
“More Self-Sufficient Living”
The categories of art considered for this competition are;
- Visual Art (painting, drawing, sculpture, fashion design, etc.)
- Performance Art (dance, theatre, song, music, etc.) (up to six minutes duration)
- Literature (poetry, story, etc.) (up to 1500 words)
- Media Arts (film, animation, computers, etc.) (up to six minutes duration)
There will be three age groups for each artistic category - Grade Prep to Three
- Grade Four to Six
- Secondary Schools
Prizes for best entries in each category - Grade Prep to Three $30.00
- Grade Four to Six $30.00
- Secondary School $30.00
Most Inspirational Entry $100.00
Total award pool: $460.00
Every entry will be recognised and acknowledged

FamilyCare (with our volunteers) run a second hand bookstore, The Book Inn, located at 94 Wyndham Street, Shepparton.
We have an amazing range of children's books, as well as novels and books for everyone.

Parent Autism Workshops

Early Days is a series of FREE workshops for parents and other family members of young children (0-7 years) who are on the autism spectrum. They are also suitable for parents who feel their child may be on the spectrum but have not received a formal diagnosis.
