Cook's Cottage & Immigration Museum

Yesterday we enjoyed an excursion to the Immigration Museum and Cooks’ Cottage as part of our new Unit of Inquiry, 'Where we are in Place and Time'.

We enjoyed discovering artefacts connected to Captain Cook and finding out about his first voyage to Australia. Students  explored Cooks' Cottage and the garden to find answers related to various eighteenth century characters, concluding in a race with an old-fashioned twist.

We also took part in a self-guided tour through the immigration museum learning about different cultures and how they have influenced our lives today.

We hope your children had lots to tell you last tonight!
