School Tours

We have run a large number of school tours with prospective families over the past couple of weeks.  These have been extremely well attended and there continues to be enormous interest in our wonderful learning community.  Thank you to our Junior Sub School Team and Mr John Simon for their efforts in organising these tours, along with the Information Session on Thursday evening. Thank you to the students who presented to parents and co-led tour groups, School Captains; Nigel Matthew, Hayley Semetas, Lu Yang and Ryan Zanders, Michelle Liju (Year 7F), Taj Bailey (Year 7F), Indiana Bryant (Year 7A) and Rachel Evans 9Year 7J) – and to all visitors who took the time to see our school and learn about all that Frankston High School offers!

ANZAC Day Assemblies

We recognised ANZAC Day as a school community on Friday 29 April, an important occasion to remember all Australians and New Zealanders who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations and the contribution and suffering of all those who have served. The assemblies were led by our Year 9 LEAD Class with some beautiful musical performances by our very talented music students. Thank you to Mrs Sarah Bahramis for organising the assembly, supported by Mr Isaac Bakker, Ms Peta Laughlin, Ms Sally Bredin, Mr John Russell, Ms Emily Papadimitriou and our Sub School Teams.

Sports Leadership Camp

Well done and thank you to Mrs Chloe Stevens, Mr Luke Rowe and Mrs Kylie Grech on organising and running such an outstanding camp at Phillip Island for our students from Wednesday 27 to Friday 29 April. Thank you to Ms Kate Burgess and Mrs Carly MacDonald, along with a fantastic contingent of alumni students who made this camp possible with their efforts. The students had an amazing time and were exhausted after participation in three days of activities that challenged and supported their growth with their sporting ability and as students.

Year 7 Camps

We are excited to have the final two of our Year 7 Camps (postponed from early in the year) run this week. Thank you in advance to all staff who are attending to get to know our students better and ensure they continue to have a successful transition to Frankston High School. Thank you to Mr Darin Joyce, Ms Emily Sykes, Mr Joel Treyvaud, Mr Joel McMahon, Mrs Sharee Dew and Mr John Simon for their efforts organising and running these camps.
