MOTHER’S DAY EVENTS

Our annual Mother’s Day fundraisers were a big success last week, with the gift stall and breakfast providing great opportunities to spoil the very deserving mums of St Augustine’s! To top that off, together we raised $2191 for our school.

Particular thanks go to Tina and Andrew Nguyen, who once again did a fantastic job organising the breakfast on Friday. They were supported by a number of Committee members and ‘dad’ helpers, who set their alarms early (on a very cold morning!) to set up the hall and serve. Not only was it a great get-together, the breakfast raised $1437 through ticket sales and the raffle.

The Mother’s Day Stall, held last Thursday, was another success and raised $754. Thanks to the parents who donated and wrapped gifts, and who worked on the stall. It’s a big thrill for the students to pick out presents for their mums and grandmas. We hope all our mothers enjoyed opening their gifts on Sunday – and had a relaxing Mother’s Day with their families.

PARENT SOCIAL NIGHT

The Parent Social Night is now scheduled for Friday, 3 June. (Please note that this date has changed since the last newsletter).

The Parent Social and Fundraising Committee is working hard to make this a great night for parents. (Sorry kids, this is for mums and dads only!) We’ll have more details in the next newsletter.

COMMITTEE UPDATES

The next Parent Social and Fundraising Committee meeting will be held on Tuesday, 24 May at 6.30pm in the staff room.

Thanks to everyone for your ongoing support. It’s already been a successful year, and we’re looking forward to reporting back about how we’ll use raised funds to benefit our school and our students.

 TONY’S PIES OF ESSENDON are conducting another Pie Drive. Forms and money need to be returned by 14th July. Please see the list of pies, pasties and sausage rolls below.

St. Augustine's Pre-loved Uniform Shop

Preloved Uniform Shop

Washed donations are gratefully accepted. Please leave them in the hamper at the office.

Not all uniform items or sizes will be available but please continue to check as new items get donated and placed on the shelves. 

All items are pre-worn and are $5. 

Cash or Card accepted. 

The shop is run by parent volunteers so all offers for help will be welcome. 

Usual hours Friday morning 8:30 - 9:00 

Fundraising Efforts to the End of Last Year

Your support helps the committee raise funds for our children's school. Our current focus is on items suggested in a survey of staff, SRC and all year levels Class Captains.These included new sandpit areas and additional play equipment.
