Work Experience

Year 10 Work Experience update 2022 

Dear Year 10 Students, Parents and families, I wanted to provide an update on Year 10 Work Experience for 2022. The allocated week will still be going ahead from Friday 10th - Friday 17th June 2022 due to Monday 13th June being a public holiday (Queens Birthday). We have had a number of Year 10 students who have already organised a placement and submitted all of the required paperwork. For those students who were unable to organise a placement by the due date they will be expected to participate in the Virtual Work Experience Program which is compulsory and will be held at school. Further information will be provided to students and families about what is involved with this program closer to the date.  Thank you to all of the amazing students who were able to be organised early and on time well done : )  Remember to think about speaking to people you know (friends/family contacts) and who could support you in securing a placement. If you are having any issues in securing a work experience placement please do not hesitate to reach out for support and assistance.  A reminder that the FINAL deadline to submit all paperwork was Friday 20th May 2022. We understand that during these COVID times it can be difficult to get confirmation and even find an opportunity and or company who will be willing to accept you. Good luck and remember to stay positive and be pro-active. The Work Experience Information Package, provides students with step by step instructions, checklists, due dates and tips on how to get a work experience placement. Work Experience Package consists of: 

Those students who need to travel with the employer during work experience, are required to complete the Work Experience Travel and Accommodation Form.
