Kool Skools

I was a part of the Kool Skools program which was run throughout term one. As a person who writes original music, this was a really awesome experience being able to record a song I wrote. The music students started practising from pretty much the start of term. My band and I rehearsed every week and then we auditioned in week six.

After our song was chosen, I worked with April to add some harmonies to my song, and Anna and April helped all the bands make sure the pieces were the best they could be. They were both amazing, giving up their free time during lunch and recess.

On the last two days of term one, we all travelled to a recording studio in Heidelberg. At the recording studio, we had a photoshoot done for each of the bands and we recorded the pieces. Being in a recording studio for the first time was incredible and all the songs sound really amazing.
