Captain's Report
Hi everyone!
So far Term 2 has been inundated with events left right and centre! This term began (albeit, slightly early) with a beautiful service honouring those who sacrificed their lives for our freedom, for Anzac Day. Since then, the Heathmont community has engaged in other events including the VCE Careers Expo, Cross Country and fun sports days. I personally found the Careers Expo to be a cool experience; lots of people, yes, but so many nice people running the programs and I also saw some familiar faces. Always nice!! Most recently, Heathmont College, in conjunction with Marlborough Primary School, held a sausage sizzle and bake sale for Election Day! I had the amazing opportunity of helping out with running this event, and it was so much fun engaging with the community and seeing some old faces! To conclude, I want to give a big shout out to all the staff at Heathmont College! We’ve faced substantial staff shortages in light of not only Covid but the flu as well (some even say Flovid, or Flurona). My teachers have been absolutely amazing with taking on the extra responsibility that comes with not having enough teachers to run classes, and this is so commendable!
Until next time 😁
