Prayer
Today’s Gospel reading of the Church is from St John and Jesus exhorts us to bear good fruit and do good works.
I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit, because without me you can do nothing…..
If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask for whatever you want and it will be done for you.
John 15:5-7
This week is National Volunteer Week. It is a chance for all of us to celebrate and recognise the vital work of volunteers and to say thank you. Interestingly, this year’s theme for Volunteer Week is ‘Better Together’ – our College theme from last year.
Lord we remember that all we have in this world is first a gift from you
that requires the collaboration of human hands.
We pray for all those who volunteer in all areas of life.
Thank you for all those who offer their time and talents,
joining in the ministry of bringing healing,
hope and compassion to all those in need.
May their commitment and efforts
be enhanced by their compassion towards others.
85th Anniversary Concert
The College's 85th Anniversary Concert was held last night, Tuesday 17 May in the Chatswood Concourse and it was a wonderful celebration of music and drama acknowledging the history of the College and showcasing the wonderful talents of our students and staff.
In particular, congratulations to the performing Arts Staff: Mr Timmins, Mr Primrose-Heaney, Mr Cummins, Mrs Lindley, Mr Taylor and the Ensemble Directors, Mr Shane Cranney, Ms Laura Power, Mr Geoff Power, Mr David Sismey, Mr Ian Talati, Mrs Stella Talati and Ms Stephanie Gan.
In a special way we thank the Performing Arts Parents Association PAPA led by President Mrs Michele Godfrey who provided a BBQ for all the students prior to the Concert. We thank PAPA and the P & F Association for their financial support in subsidising the costs of this Concert. We could not have held this event without the support of our parents. Thank you.
At last, after 3 years of waiting, we have been able to hold this major concert and congratulations to every student who performed or worked behind the scenes.
Bravo!
Annual Survey - Have Your Say!
The Annual survey for all parents, students and staff has commenced and everyone should have received an invitation to complete this survey which is conducted by an external company, MYP Corporation. This is totally Confidential.
I encourage all to complete this survey. Each year, the College takes into account both the strategic and operational feedback and these surveys are analysed by the College Council and the College Leadership Team and the many improvements each year have been the result of productive feedback in these surveys.
Parking at Oxford Falls
Please ensure when you are visiting Oxford Falls that you park in the designated car spaces within our grounds or park legally on Dreadnought Road. Unfortunately some of our neighbouring properties have experienced damage to their front lawns due to cars parking illegally on their grass.
Your consideration towards our neighbours at Oxford Falls is greatly appreciated.
Rangers are aware of the situation and will be stepping up patrols in the surrounding neighbourhood.
