Pets of ASC

In every edition of Gnala we want to feature the adorable pets of All Saints’ College community members, so if you have a good boy or cute companion, feel free to submit a photo (or two) accompanied by a short bio about them (name, fun facts… anything people might want to know or find funny about them).

Carrie - Ms Middleton (Staff)

Carrie is 17 years old – this picture was taken when I was trying to do some work and she insisted on sitting right behind the chair. She has dodgy legs: she had two operations on them and then refused to use them properly afterwards. When she was young, everyone thought she had ADHD; now she has doggy dementia. She walks into a room and stands in the middle looking like she is saying, “Now why did I come in here?” Despite that and her bad breath, I do still love her. She is always on time for every meal and every walk, so she’s pretty good. Like all pets she has some weird quirks, but as she has gotten older these have mellowed somewhat and she spends most of the time sleeping. 

She really enjoyed having me home every day during AS@H.

Jasper (on shoulder) & Sydney (on the chair)

 – Estella Glencross (Year 10)

Jasper loves to sing and whistle, they both love attention, head scratches and almonds are their favourite treats. They like to help me with my studies (and annoy me by taking out my ear buds) but were great company during home learning. They are cockatiels (also known as weiros).

Rocky – Rachel Cole (Year 11)

Rocky is a four-year-old black Labrador. He loves dog biscuits, the beach and meeting other dogs. He never hesitates to roll over for tummy scratches and definitely isn’t shy when it comes to food!

Charlie – Martha Pritchard (Year 12)

My dog Charlie is nine this year, and he’s always smiling and happy to meet new people.

He loves cheese (and literally any type of food), scratches and going for walks.

He doesn't like his trips to the vet but he’s got to stay healthy!

Pickles – Aleisha Nelson (Year 9)

This is Pickles, a two-year-old tortoiseshell cat. She is very shy and enjoys hiding in little nooks all over the house, particularly in paper bags.

Rabbits - Zoe Dallimore (Year 9)

They love banana and any sweet fruit but dislike any herbs we try and give them. They love to eat things they shouldn’t (cords, rugs, blinds etc) and love to tear up cardboard boxes.

Winston - Miss Osmetti (Staff)

Winston is a nine-month-old Sheepadoodle (Old English Sheepdog X Poodle), known around our neighbourhood as the 'Dulux dog'. Winston loves going to new parks and playing with every dog he meets; he also enjoys introducing himself to every human he sees. Winston is a friendly loveable goofball and is full of energy! His favourite games are chasey and picking up everything he sees on the ground with his mouth.
