Mr Paul Clohesy

Hi everyone,

Welcome to our new look newsletter. We hope you find this format flexible and engaging. It allows you to read articles or the entire newsletter on various devices.

New subscribers can be added via our web page and the system will also unsubscribe you if and when you require it.

It has been a welcome boost for everyone to have our senior students back in the school and this time next week we will be back to our "new normal" when all students return to the classrooms.

Please see elsewhere in the newsletter for a video and detailed update on the return to school processes that we ask that all families and returning students help us with to stay safe and healthy at this time.

Our Director of Students, Leanne Eastman has been appointed Principal of St Brendan’s Primary School at Coragulac, which is a great appointment for them, and I will have more to say about Leanne in our next newsletter.

This has created some movement in our staff. Natalie Holt has been appointed to the position of Acting Director of Student from the beginning of Term 3 until the end of the school year. Jacqueline Devrome has been appointed as Acting Year 8 Coordinator to replace Natalie for the same time period.

Adele McKee will be taking Maternity Leave from the beginning of term 3 and will be replaced by Glenn Leslie. Glenn is a very experienced English and Psychology teacher who has just completed a semester at Clonard College in Geelong.

Finally, the classes left vacant as a result of Leanne leaving and Natalie taking up the Director of Students position will be filled by Kate Geary. Kate is currently at Colac Secondary College and will be joining Trinity College at the beginning of Term 3, predominantly in the Mathematics faculty, and we look forward to welcoming Kate to the team.

While schools have been operating in a remote capacity in recent months, the work of preparing for coming school years continues. This week we are conducting interviews with Grade 6 students and parents to get to know the next batch of Year 7 students.

Please continue to abide by social distancing restrictions and stay safe. We are trying to limit visitors to the school, but if you have any questions about school procedures and policies at this time please contact us.

If you wish to know more about how your student is progressing at this time please contact their subject teachers, homeroom teachers or Year Level Coordinators.

Thank you once again for everything you have done to support your child through this remote learning period.
