Library News

As you will know our schools main building has now been renovated.  Our library was used as a classroom to allow these changes to happen so it has been closed for some time.

I am happy to say that our newly painted and carpeted library is now open for student borrowing! The library is looking magenta and clean.  Miss Mercer has used her amazing art skills and there are a few new creatures on the walls.

We have just received a new shipment of books. This pile holds just over $1000 in new books.   Do you think that this pile looks like a lot of books?  Also, check out the new carpet and linoleum in this photo.  I’m not sure what the official colour is called but I’m calling it magenta.  What colour do you think it is?

Library Bag Reminder

Just a reminder that library bags are required for Foundation to Grade 2 students.  No borrowing without a bag.   Any clean bag will work as a library bag (ideally a washable one).  This helps keep our books safe on their way to and from the library.

Missing library books

We are currently missing 68 library books.  This represents over $1000 in lost resources.  Please have another really good look at home for missing books that may have been having a long holiday at your house.
