Workshop

A group of students at Wedderburn College from Years 4 - 9 were provided the opportunity to attend a full art day on Tuesday 30 March. The students walked a tour of the new artwork in Wedderburn on the Walls of the park Toilet Facilities, Newsagency and Church. The spray artists spoke to the group and provided a fantastic and inspiring talk about their artwork practice. The students returned to school at 11.30am and were very eager to get started on their own art piece. The theme of the murals is Birds in the local area, so the students selected their bird and were assisted to project the image onto a primed board. The day just flew as the students painted and experimented with a new process of projecting and painting. A great day was had by all, and a special thanks to our helpers on the day and the Wedderburn Neighbourhood House for organising the Tour and Artist Talk. The final artworks will be on display as part of the Neighbourhood Art Show and again at the College Art Show later in the year.
