Cape Paterson Field Trip

Students studying Year 11 Biology underwent an ecological field study at Cape Paterson to investigate factors that affect the survival of organisms living on the rock platform. Students used transect lines and quadrats to measure abundance and biodiversity in different zones to answer their scientific questions.

On the same day, students studying Year 9 Marine Biology explored the rock pools and had the opportunity to test their snorkeling skills in the shallow rocky reef habitats of Cape Paterson. It was a fun day had by all!
