SENIOR SCHOOL NEWS

Joel McDougall

Year 11 Coordinator

The senior school has been a hive of activity in the last few weeks.

The Year 12 students have returned from a very successful camp in Ballarat where a focus on setting future goals and strategies, to ensure everyone can get the most out of their VCE and VCAL subjects, was the theme.

Feedback from the staff at the venue was that the cohort represented the school incredibly well and were an example to other schools.  A big well done to all students who attended.

Students doing a VCE subject in 2021 have just sat a practice GAT in preparation for the real assessment taking place in the coming month.  Students were all able to gain valuable experience on what is expected in this important assessment and now have a great insight on what to expect on GAT day.

Year 11 students are in the process of choosing their Year 12 jumper design and this has most students really excited about looking forward to their remaining time at NGSC.

Progress reports are about to be published and most students are very keen to see their results.

The colder weather seems to be arriving and at times we are seeing the arrival of some students bringing alternate jumpers and school pants to school.  Our senior students have been an example to the rest of the school and as usual our students are setting the tone to the middle and junior school students.

Well done to all.
