ECSC Library Update 2021

Write 4 fun competition

We asked our students to submit a writing piece for a Write 4 fun competition. The students were asked to write a Poem or Short Story about any topic that they are interested in. We had over 30 entries from all year levels but we were only able to select the best 5 to represent our school. There was some amazing writing demonstrated and all students should be proud as it was really difficult to determine the top 5 entries.

The 5 students pieces that were selected are:

Term 2 borrowing in the Library

From next term all students will need to bring their student ID cards to borrow books and also check in to the Library Club. This is assist with the amount of time it take to search for students names in our system. This is will maximise the time spent on reading instead of waiting in line to borrow books.

Lunchtime Library club  kicking off!

Library club this term has been great but I think we can make it even better. Next term we will have Board games, card games,  no device day and also Kahoots on specific topics. The students have been enjoying either playing or learning how to play Chess.
