St Louis Cross Country

Our school cross country was held on the 26th of April under threatening skies. We were able to run the event with great help from some parents, our wonderful LSO’s and Staff. Congratulations to all students that competed. There were some individual achievements on the day.

The placings for each race were as follows:

12/13 Boys- 1st- Samuel G, 2nd - Oliver B, 3rd-Jack F

12/13 Girls- 1st- Matilda W, 2nd- Ruby A, 3rd- Brooke G

11 Boys- 1st- Ben L 2nd- Archer M 3rd- Xavier D

11Girls- 1st- Leila G, 2nd- Matilda L, 3rd- Lily D

9/10 Boys- 1st- Rory C, 2nd- Jake L 3rd- Aiden C

9/10 Girls- 1st- April O 2nd- Lucy G 3rd- Teagan S.

Each year we award the ‘Perrett’ Family perpetual trophy. One of their sons - Clinton represented Australia at Under-20 level in cross country.

The winner of this award is the student who is the quickest overall in the 3km races ( 11 and 12/13 yo). This year the winners were Girls- MATILDA W and Boys - BEN L.

The event is also a House based event. The winner of this event is the house that has the lowest average placing. The results were:

Chelsea District Cross Country

The Chelsea District Cross Country was held on Tuesday of this week. Held at Cornish College the weather held off to provide near-perfect running conditions for the day. Our qualifiers represented St Louis superbly. We have 12 students that have qualified for the Kingston Division cross country to be held at Karkarook Park in Heatherton on June 1st. We wish these students the best for this day. Some notable performances were:

12/13 Girls - 1st Place- Matilda W, Ella O (6th), Amelie B (9th), Brooke G (10th) all qualified for Division. Just missing was Ruby A ( 11th ) and Stevie C (13th)

12/13 Boys - 1st Place- Samuel G, Jack F (8th), Josh L (12th) Clancy L (13th) Oliver B (14th)

11 Girls- Leila G (5th) Lily D (13th)

11 Boys- Ben L (3rd) Xavier D(9th) Archer M (10th) Harvey W (12th)
