Weekly Wellbeing

Term 2!

It is hard to believe that it is already Term 2. We are so excited to commence this term and look forward to partnering with students, parents/guardians and staff to help all students feel supported and equipped to learn, develop and grow to be the best version of themselves.  If there is a topic that you would specifically like us to write about, please email Julie.reid2@education.vic.gov.au and we will endeavour to put some resources together for you.

Food Matters

Our wellbeing is impacted by many things:  our environment, our genetic make-up, our upbringing, our life choices (or the life choices of others) and our diet.  Many of these things we don’t have control over, but some we do.  One of them is the food that we eat and the food that we give our children to eat.

Below are some articles and resources that you may find interesting in relation to the link between food and wellbeing, specifically mental health.

It is amazing the impact that food has.  As parents/guardians, you can influence the mental health of your children just by what you put in their lunchboxes and on the table each day.  You can even make different food choices for yourself to increase your wellbeing too!
