Principal's Report

The end of Term

It is difficult to believe that we are in the last week of Term 1. It has been fantastic to slowly build up to being able to have school life almost back to normal, with really only a few reminders around 2020. School will finish at 2:30 pm on Thursday this week and we look forward to welcoming back everyone on April 19th.

Colour Run

What an amazing event this was for our whole school community. The students had a fantastic time and did an outstanding job of raising funds. This year, to be more sustainable, we worked with a company that will plant trees in place of prizes being given out. Our initial goal was to raise enough money for 800 trees to be planted, and we came close with 705 trees in the end. It was also great to have the Dos Amigos truck after the event to feed the hungry masses!

After costs, the event looks to have raised around $6,000 for the school, which is an outstanding achievement.

I would like to thank our amazing Parents Association for their work in putting this event together and the families who were able to attend. There are already plans being drawn up for an even bigger event next year!

Sensory Space

After many months (and a pandemic) of waiting, we finally have movement on our Sensory Space. There will be a lot of work taking place over the school break that will involve concrete cutting, excavating and other noisy parts of the work, which is perfect timing as students will not be onsite in classrooms nearby. On days during Term 2 when particularly loud works will be taking place 1/2A will use the OSHC room for their learning to minimise the noise and disruption.
