YEAR 9 ELECTIVE HISTORY RESEARCH

During this term, the three classes have been busy with their first unit of work, Constructing History.

The assessment task to conclude the unit has involved the construction of an ancient replica from either Egypt or Rome. The students were required to research the origins of the artifact and create a label for the exhibition.

Each student then gave a presentation to their class about the features, significance and legacy of the artifact. The excellent creations included Roman colosseums, swords, temples and libraries. Ancient Egypt was represented by pyramids, crooks and flails and temples. The standard of the constructions and presentations was very high and the boys are to be commended on their efforts in a very pleasing start to the course.
