CNPS Grounds Maintenance
Dear parents and carers,
It's been my hope that this year we would have been able to organise a community working bee to provide maintenance and upgrades to the Indigenous garden at the front of our school. Unfortunately, COVID-19 restrictions mean that this is likely not going to happen anytime soon. In lieu of this, I am hoping to develop a roster where families can sign up and reserve a time slot where they can come into school and do a bit of weeding. I am developing a weeding guide to help identify what needs to stay and what needs to go (mainly onion grass!). At this stage we can only book families or individuals outside of school hours, meaning afternoon/evenings and weekends.
If you would be interested in coming on-site to help yank some evil weeds out of the garden, please send an email to: benjamin.may@education.vic.gov.au with your preferred date and time.
I know it doesn't sound like the most fun activity, but the garden needs it, and researchers are always going on about the importance of getting your hands dirty in a garden!!
Hoping to hear from you.
Kind regards,
Ben May
