Co-curricular Ensembles
As we see a return to sport and a relaxation in some of the COVID-19 restrictions, we are very hopeful that we will soon see a return to some of our music ensembles before the end of the year. We are currently waiting for guidance from the AIS before we can make any plans. We continue to keep asking the question and will update our families as soon as we hear anything. We are incredibly keen to have our students making music together again to finish 2021 on a positive note (pun intended!)
Mitchell Conservatorium Scholarship Winner!
Congratulations to Ella Kerdic (Year 5) who has been awarded a scholarship from the Mitchell Conservatorium to continue her studies on Flute with her teacher Mrs Emma Knott. Ella will be working towards her Grade 6 next year and look forward to hearing her progress next year.
Choir Not Choir!
Year 3 and 4 this week were treated to dance class with Disha Prasad from Year 3. Disha assisted us in preparing for our Diwali dance which we hope to perform later in the term, along with Year 1 and 2 choir. Disha generously shared aspects of her culture with us giving us an insight on how her family celebrate important cultural events and in particular Diwali, which takes place in early November.
