Head of Junior School PE

In the final week of Term 2, we had two JS and MS visits from Physiotherapist, Bill Kokkalis.

Bill took some time out from his clinic to teach our Year 6 and 7 students about the spine. He showed the importance of muscle groups and the skeletal system, and how easy it is to slip into poor habits with our posture. Bill also showed with the use of phones, tablets, laptops and computers how many new symptoms have now been attributed to spine and muscle development, and that with correct posture, it can be quite easy to treat and prevent these issues that are common in young adults.

We would like to thank Bill for taking the time out of his busy schedule to come and visit, all of our students and staff really enjoyed, and benefited from the workshop.

Bill is a physiotherapist at A GOGE Physio Fitness Studio.

Address: 72 Mackie Road, Bentleigh East 3165.

Phone: 9077 4572.

Jump Rope For Heart – Heart Foundation

On Friday 14th June, ELC – Year 5 students participated in Jump Rope for Heart – Jump Off Day. It was a great way for students to keep fit and learn new skills, but it also helps raise funds for vital heart research and education programs.

So far we have raised $4,263.40, which is an amazing achievement! On Thursday, 1st August 2019, Year 6 students participated in a Jump Off Day. Thank you to all students, staff, parents and the Community for their amazing effort.
