Lunchtime Activities in the Library

We are excited to announce that our lunchtime activities have restarted today.

On Tuesday and Wednesday lunchtimes  we are offered special activities in the Library. This has included Lego, trains, board games, and different crafts. The children have made bracelets, masks, pet rocks, pom poms, pop-stick people, funky glasses, clay creations, woollen butterflies, paper bag puppets, bendy buddies and paper dolls. It has been lots of fun and a great way to make some new friends! Please

KIMOCHIS

Room 3 has been learning about Kimochis with Cathy (our Pastoral Care Worker). Each week they have been getting to know one of the Kimochi characters.

So far, they have met Cloud who can sometimes be a bit moody. He has a hard time controlling his emotions but when he is happy, he can be a great friend. Another character they’ve met is Lovey Dove. She is a sweet and nurturing character who always tries to smooth out rough situations. She is calm, wise, and patient. Next, they met Bug who is a thoughtful and cautious creature. He is very smart and a great thinker, but he is afraid of change and trying new things. Last week they met Huggtopus who is all smiles and hugs. She is very affectionate and strong and sometimes gets a little carried away by her big friendly personality. Occasionally she can be a bit overbearing but she is a wonderful friend.

All of the Kimochi characters help us to learn about feelings and communication, helping to develop positive social skills that lead to lasting friendships and success in all aspects of life. They are lots of fun too!

Kind regards,

Cathy Turner
