General Information

Final VCE Classes
All Year 12 classes officially finish at 3.30pm on Monday, October 23rd. A light dinner will be shared with staff and students at 5.30pm whilst students decorate BHCS.
Students then return for Breakfast at 7.30pm on Tuesday morning, October 24th. This day usually also includes dressing up. Breakfast will be finished by 8.30am
An assembly will then be held in the MPH. This is a lovely way for our whole school to celebrate with the Year 12s. We encourage family and friends to attend on Tuesday, 24th October during period 1 (9:15am-10:30am).
VCE Exams
Students will all have a printed personalised exam timetable, also online at:
http://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/Pages/vce/exams/timetable.aspx
All exam information is in the Exam Navigator that students have been given, also found online at:
http://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/Documents/vcaanavigator_web.pdf
A few things to note for the exams:
- Students should read through the Exam Navigator and make sure they follow all advice given.
- All VCE exams will be held in the VCE Centre.
- Students must be at School at least 30 minutes prior to the commencement of their exam. If students arrive too late for an exam, they will not be able to sit the exam.
- Don’t forget:All mobile phones are to be switched off and are not allowed in the exam room under any circumstances. Students may leave their phones at Reception for safe keeping until after the exam.
- School uniform is to be worn during the exam.
-Students are expected to stay until the end of each exam.
Bus use 2018
This is a reminder that if you are planning to use our bus service during 2018, applications are now overdue.
If you require an application form, please contact Reception or email buses@bhcs.vic.edu.au ASAP.
Senior Vocal Ensemble
The Senior Vocal Ensemble is finally up and running! A group of enthusiastic singers from Years 8-11 have started meeting on Tuesdays after school from 3:45 to 4:45 pm, enjoying a welcome break from the stress of study.
This group has largely continued on from the considerable momentum created by the recent School production. This group really loves to sing and has been learning to sing in parts as well as a few jazz stylings. As the leader of this exciting group, I'd like to extend a welcome to students from Years 8 to 12, along with interested staff and even parents who might prefer to get involved rather than just wait in the car.
For more information, please contact Mr Thompson.
Bus Driver Needed
BHCS is looking for a "fill-in" bus driver to help out when we have a driver away or on holidays. This is not a full-time position but for someone needed on a very occasional basis.
The driver would need a medium rigid or greater licence, as well as two recent references, a current Working With Children's Check, a current Drivers Certificate, and a Level 2 First Aid Certificate. Contact Reception for inquires.
Students Withdrawing in 2018
Parents are reminded that should your circumstances have changed and your child is not returning to BHCS in 2018, the School requires one term’s notice in writing. Failure to provide this notice will result in one term’s fees being charged in lieu of this notice.
As Term 4 has now begun, written notice should have already been given to Reception. If you have not yet provided this, please do so without delay.
New Caledonia Trip 2018
Parents and Guardians of students who are planning to join our BHCS trip to New Caledonia in 2018 are advised to make their deposit of $300 by the end of October at Reception to secure their place.
Numbers of the interested students will be assessed as to whether the trip can go ahead and the School will notify the outcome once confirmed.
