YEAR 11 MUSIC PERFORMANCE NIGHT

Congratulations to all the students in the Year 11 Music Performance class for their outstanding night’s entertainment on Monday 17 October. The standard was high and all the gathered friends and family were thoroughly entertained. A special thank you to Mr Baltazar Kurowski for his organization of this night.

INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC SURVEY

Instrumental music students in Years 7 – 11 will have been emailed a survey from Mr West. Please ensure that you complete this survey as quickly as possible.

SHELVING IN MUSIC DEPARTMENT

We remind all students to use the shelving in the storeroom and to keep the space as tidy as possible.

AMEB EXAMS

AMEB Session 5 exams are coming up in the next few weeks. There are 46 students presenting from Grade 1 to Grade 7. Flutes will present on Friday 28 October, Clarinet and Saxophones will present on Saturday 5 November and Trumpets will present on Monday 7 November.  All students should continue to practice diligently in preparation for their exam.

Other dates for the remainder of 2016:

• Thursday 27 October: Ovenden and Junior Stage Bands, Big Day Out;
• Wednesday 9 November: Year 10 Music Performance Night at 7:00pm;
• Tuesday 15 November: VSMF Young Band Section Year 8 Band at 4:00pm;
• Thursday 17 November: VSMF Young Band Section Year 7 Band at 9:00am;
• Thursday 1 December: Junior Music Concert at 7:00pm.
