BEEP TEST CHALLENGE
The 12th of October saw over 30 of McKinnon’s finest athletes take part in the annual Beep Test Challenge held in the Gym at lunchtime. Many of the competitors lined up to take out some of McKinnon’s long standing records and it was a day for records to be broken with May Landau, Genevieve O’Brien and Will Sharp all setting new records for their respective age groups.
It was a mixture of hard work and having the mental edge that saw many of the 30 plus competitors reach the Level 10 marker but many went on and in the Junior Girls we had May Landau take out the win with an impressive 12.3! Well done May.
The Junior Boys, a very hotly contested age group, came down to none other than the magical Will Sharp beating the entire field and going the distance to 14.7! An incredible feat which smashed the previous record set in 2011. Lastly but not least we had the senior half and unfortunately we had no girls compete but a few boys took to the court with our esteemed AFL umpire James Hackett-Smith falling over at 14.5. Well done James, top effort!
Thanks to all competitors from the Junior and Senior School.
