Kasamu Lee
Kas:
Year 11 student Kasamu Lee impressed so much during the tournament that he was offered a full time place in the Escola Huesca Academy in Madrid, which is a feeder academy to the top clubs for international players. Kas averaged over 8 kilometers per game in distance covered and was fit enough to play every minute of every game without exception. His work rate and drive to inspire his team mates also earned him the player of the tournament award from the coaching staff and he now has an amazing opportunity to relocate to Spain and fight for a professional contract playing the sport that he loves.
In parliament, Natalie Suleyman made the following address:
I wish to congratulate and commend the fantastic Keilor Downs College (KDC) soccer school. Fourteen boys will be heading to Real Madrid in January 2020, and they will be able to play in a football tournament in Spain and of course have a chance to train with Real Madrid Academy for three days with professional coaches and learn from the best and one of the most successful clubs in the world. I want to congratulate the teachers, led by the principal, Linda, of course the coaches of KDC and in particular Mr Josip Loncaric and Mr George Katiforis, who have worked so hard to make this possible.
On behalf of KDC and the traveling squad of boys, we wish to thank Natalie for her donation of $1500 towards the purchase of uniforms and apparel.
