Associate Principal's Report

From the Associate Principal's Desk

This week we are trialling a new newsletter format to improve the production efficiency and provide an appealing format that our audience finds both interesting and informative.

Firstly, I’d like to thank everyone involved in organising the Colour Run at the end of last term. There was a lot of work that went into this event and as a result, everything ran very smoothly. By the looks on all the student’s faces, they certainly enjoyed this fundraising event. As previously mentioned, funds received from this event will be going towards the development of a senior playground and sports equipment.

The timeline for the Pinetree Gully Road works has been extended to reduce the impact on access. At this stage, they will only be completing the road widening and will complete the more complex rehabilitation works over the Christmas holidays. During this period, both Willetton SHS and Burrendah PS are investigating the possibility of a second managed crosswalk outside the Willetton SHS.

OSH Club has commenced and as a result, there are a number of areas which are solely for their program. Under the Deed of Licence (see email sent out to all parents on the 10th April) from my observation we have only had to remind a few people about not congregating in the Undercover Area, Junior Playground Area outside Room 25 and space outside Magpie Block. Thank you for your cooperation with this matter.

NAPLAN testing for Year 3 & 5 will commence in Week 3, Tuesday 14th May and continue till the 24th April. A NAPLAN Test timetable will be sent out to parents in the near future.
