Student of the Week Awards Presented 8/12/22

Eliza-Mei W. - 00L

This award goes to Eliza-Mei for her amazing persistence in our Maths Investigations this week. Eliza-Mei worked hard to find different ways to measure and compare the length of her fingers. She even swapped counters for small blocks to make her measurement more accurate. You are a superstar mathematician Eliza-Mei!!

Cooper L. - 1/2D

Cooper is to be congratulated for his great efforts during our Integrated Studies session this week. Cooper worked collaboratively with his small group to creatively design and put together a habitat diorama. He was a wonderful leader and kept his group on track. Well done Cooper! You’re a Scoresby Superstar.

Sarah F.  - 1/2K

This award goes to Sarah for her fantastic writing this week! She has been working hard to carefully listen to the sounds in each word and spelt many high frequency words correctly. She also proudly shared her writing with her class mates. Well done Sarah! Keep it up!  

Keely R. - 3/4B

This award goes to Keely for her persistence during PONT maths this week. She challenged herself to learn new things and not giving up when things got tricky. Keely successfully converted between 12 and 24-hour time during our scavenger hunt and solved the riddle all by herself! Keep up the great work Keely.

Noah N. - 3/4K

This award goes to Noah for showing the HEART value Excellence. Noah wrote a terrific persuasive piece explaining why Christmas in Winter is better. He worked to his personal best and showed pride in himself and his work - he even had the confidence to show Mrs Hartley! 

Keep up the excellent effort Noah.

The Whole Class - 3/4S

3/4S have been an amazing class to teach this year. Everyone has worked very hard to achieve their goals and they have demonstrated resilience and perseverance when faced with challenges. Thank you all for a wonderful year.

Aiden C. - 5/6F

This award goes to Aiden for demonstrating the Scoresby HEART Value of Excellence in writing this week. He quickly came up with an idea used this to complete his cartoon strip narrative plan. Aiden then used his plan to begin a well thought out draft. He should be very proud of all of his work!

Riley H. - 5/6M

This award is presented to Riley for being a mature and responsible Year 6 student. Riley takes his Heart Captain role very seriously and is always ready to present at assembly by collecting the HEART tokens and practising what he needs to say. Riley is a hardworking student who listens to instructions and completes set tasks to the best of his ability. I have been so proud to be his 2022 teacher!

Holly Z. - 5/6W

This award goes to Holly for her ongoing commitment to her learning this year. Holly has demonstrated a positive attitude towards all aspects of her learning and actively takes on feedback to improve. Wonderful effort Holly! I am very proud to be your teacher this year.

 Rohaan M. - Visual Arts

This award goes to Rohaan for his fabulous penguin softie! Students in 3/4 learnt to thread a needle, knot cotton and sew running stitch. Rohaan watched each demonstration attentively before sewing small evenly spaced stitches to make his penguin. Terrific work Rohaan!

Gracie L.  - Physical Education

This award goes to Gracie for demonstrating the HEART value of Excellence during the gymnastics clinic! Gracie listened carefully to all instructions and practised each skill and activity to the best of her ability. Fantastic work Gracie!
