Music Tuition Lessons
Lessons start back in Week 2.
Dear Parents/Guardians, you should have received an email last week with timetables attached. If you have not received it, please contact Mrs Kidd on kristina.kidd@stphilips.nt.edu.au
Please remember the following:
- it is the students' responsibility to remember to attend lessons (sometimes a teacher will remind a student, but DO NOT rely on this)
- good communication is the key to the game - if lessons are missed, please make an effort to see your teacher or Mrs Kidd as soon as possible.
- if bringing your instrument to school, please drop it off at the Performing Arts Department foyer at the beginning of the day and remember to retrieve it at the end of the day.
- PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE! It is the only way you can be get better, there are no short cuts, it is only through enjoying the process of practice that you will become a more proficient player. If you don't like practicing, then learning an instrument is not for you.
- Practice at home at least 30 mins a day.
- DO NOT use your lesson time as practice time. Lessons are a valuable to learn new techniques and work through problems you are having under the guidance of your teacher.
